Musings of A Woman in Ministry: That Family

As we kick off Women’s History Month, guest blogger JaEl has come to share her thoughts on being a woman in ministry/female pastor. Even in the most difficult and challenging situations and seasons of life, God always has “That Family” waiting to receive you. That one member, or neighbor, or relative who will come a long side of you, walk with you and remind you of God’s love.

A Request To The Congregation: Stop Shaming Single Women

I make a good bag, pay my bills early, mind my business and my edges. I do yoga, go to therapy, keep a clean house, and I have passport stamps and museum receipts- cultured honey and only a little sophisti-ratchet when I need to be. By societal standards, I’m good and doing me. So why is it that at the church house all of this is a “problem” and I am CONSTANTLY questioned by the “You not married yet?” chorus?
